Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their strategic implications for 2026+ business landscapes
- Develop comprehensive scenario-planning frameworks to prepare for disruptive market shifts
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future insights into R&D priorities and innovation pipelines
- Author forward-looking whitepapers and thought leadership content positioning Nexus as an industry futurist
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, academics, and tech pioneers
- Integrate sustainability and ethical foresight into all strategic planning processes
- Mentor junior strategists in foresight methodologies and critical future analysis
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Strategic Foresight, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist role at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to communicate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation journals
