Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology strategy roadmap, focusing on AI ethics, quantum computing integration, and decentralized systems
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to prototype and deploy emerging technologies (neuromorphic chips, synthetic biology interfaces)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year market impact
- Establish governance frameworks for ethical AI adoption and responsible innovation
- Present strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors with ROI projections
- Mentor a team of 12 futurists and technology architects
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or C-suite leadership with proven experience in future-casting
- Deep expertise in AI, quantum computing, or biotechnology convergence
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks and technology adoption curves
- Strong track record of implementing multi-year technology transformations
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from University of Houston Futures program)
- Fluency in at least two programming languages (Python, R, or similar)
