Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence) with strategic business potential
- Develop comprehensive 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and competitive landscapes
- Lead cross-functional innovation initiatives bridging R&D, product development, and commercialization teams
- Conduct scenario planning and risk analysis for disruptive technology adoption
- Secure executive buy-in and funding for strategic technology investments
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry consortia
- Present technology foresight insights to C-suite and board stakeholders
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or corporate R&D leadership
- Proven track record of successfully commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least three future-tech domains (quantum, AI, neurotech, sustainable tech)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business with specialization in technology foresight
- Certified Innovation Professional (CIP) or equivalent strategic planning credential
- Experience building and managing multi-million dollar innovation portfolios
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex tech concepts to business audiences
- Published thought leadership in technology strategy or innovation journals
