As a Contract IT Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our diverse clientele, providing top-tier technical assistance and ensuring seamless daily operations. This is the perfect role for recent graduates or career changers eager to break into the tech industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide tier-1 technical support via phone, email, and in-person to end-users.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware peripherals, including laptops, printers, and scanners.
- Manage and resolve helpdesk tickets within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Assist with software deployment, patch management, and OS updates across the network.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and procedures in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with senior technicians to escalate complex network or hardware issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to company IT policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows 10/11 and macOS), and network connectivity.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts simply to non-technical users.
- Willingness to obtain relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+ is a plus but not required).
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts if required to support 24/7 operations.
- Proactive problem-solving attitude and eagerness to learn new technologies.
