We are seeking a motivated Entry Level IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or career changers looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced corporate environment.
As part of our IT operations team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our infrastructure and ensuring our internal clients receive top-notch technical assistance. You will work closely with senior engineers to resolve tickets, deploy new hardware, and support our day-to-day IT needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, printers, and peripherals.
- Document all technical issues, resolutions, and customer interactions in our ticketing system (Zendesk/Jira).
- Perform routine system updates, security patches, and asset inventory management.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to diagnose and resolve complex technical escalations.
- Conduct user training sessions on new software applications and IT security policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized IT workspace and server room.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field is a plus.
- Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and operating systems (Windows 10/11).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose basic technical issues independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-centric attitude with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Reliable transportation for occasional on-site visits within the Indianapolis metro area.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a background check clearance.
