Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ethical guidelines and policies for AI systems, ensuring alignment with global standards and regulations.
- Conduct ethical risk assessments for new AI products and features, identifying potential biases and harms.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate ethical considerations into the AI development lifecycle.
- Advise leadership on ethical implications of AI strategies and decisions, providing actionable recommendations.
- Lead research on emerging ethical issues in AI and contribute to the body of knowledge in the field.
- Communicate complex ethical concepts to diverse audiences, including technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate the real-world impact of AI systems, making adjustments to mitigate negative consequences.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, AI, Law, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, or a related domain, with a focus on practical implementation.
- Deep understanding of AI technologies and their potential societal impacts, including biases, fairness, and transparency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex ethical dilemmas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Experience developing and implementing ethical frameworks or policies in a corporate or research setting.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF) is highly desirable.
