Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional research projects on quantum error correction
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/IEEE)
- Develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates
- Secure federal and private research grants
- Collaborate with hardware teams on qubit stability optimization
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Published research in quantum information science
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Track record of securing research funding
- Expertise in at least one classical programming language (Python/C++)
