Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify breakthrough technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop 5-year strategic technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Direct pilot programs for quantum-AI hybrid computing and neural interface applications
- Partner with C-suite to embed future-ready frameworks into corporate strategy
- Present visionary briefings to Fortune 500 clients on 2026 technology adoption curves
- Mentor a team of 5 researchers in speculative design and prototyping methodologies
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding through white papers and investor pitches
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Futurist Studies (or equivalent demonstrable expertise)
- 7+ years in emerging technology research with 3+ years in strategic foresight
- Published thought leadership on quantum/AI convergence or neurotech (ACM/Nature/IEEE)
- Proven track record scaling tech initiatives from concept to $100M+ commercialization
- Deep expertise in speculative design methodologies and trend scenario mapping
- Portfolio showcasing 3+ breakthrough technologies currently in development
- Security clearance for DoD/NASA-level innovation projects
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit/Cirq)
