Responsibilities
- Research and analyze emerging technologies with 2026+ market impact (quantum AI, neural interfaces, decentralized systems)
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with long-term business objectives
- Lead cross-functional workshops to forecast industry shifts and competitive threats
- Present futuristic insights to executive stakeholders and investor boards
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Author thought leadership papers on technology's societal and business implications
- Oversee prototyping of experimental technologies with 3-5 year commercialization horizons
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futurism consulting
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, advanced AI)
- Proven track record of translating futuristic concepts into market-ready solutions
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies
- Exceptional communication skills for complex technical storytelling
- Published research or patents in forward-looking technology domains
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
