Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026 landscapes
- Develop and publish annual Future Outlook reports with data-driven predictions and strategic recommendations
- Design innovation roadmaps integrating AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology advancements
- Facilitate executive workshops on scenario planning and risk mitigation for volatile futures
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype solutions for emerging market needs in 2026
- Establish strategic alliances with academic institutions and future-focused think tanks
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight capability framework
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist role at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of publishing influential trend analysis or thought leadership content
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies (e.g., Delphi technique, STEEP analysis)
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies: AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology, and neurotech
- Exceptional presentation skills with executive audiences and stakeholders
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Futures Studies preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ major strategic initiatives implemented from future insights
