Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (AI ethics, biotech convergence, climate tech)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, design, and commercialization teams
- Conduct horizon scanning and scenario planning for disruptive market shifts
- Present visionary frameworks to C-suite executives and venture partners
- Build and lead a global network of futurist collaborators and subject matter experts
- Translate complex technological concepts into actionable business opportunities
- Oversee pilot programs for prototype technologies in controlled environments
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Technology, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in strategic foresight or innovation leadership
- Published thought leadership on emerging technologies (patents/articles)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or AI governance
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks (e.g., Delphi, STEEPLE)
- Proven ability to secure $1M+ in innovation funding or resources
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful technology-to-market transitions
- Fluency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and futures modeling software
