Job Description
Are you ready to architect the infrastructure of the decentralized future? Nexus Protocol is looking for a visionary Senior Web3 Engineer to lead the development of our next-generation decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem. We are pioneers in bridging traditional finance with blockchain technology, and we need a technical expert to ensure our protocols are secure, scalable, and user-centric.
In this role, you will not just write code; you will define standards for the industry. You will work with a world-class team of cryptographers, frontend developers, and product designers to build seamless experiences for our global community.
Responsibilities
- Smart Contract Development: Design, develop, and audit complex smart contracts primarily in Solidity, with a focus on security and gas optimization for Ethereum and Layer 2 networks.
- Protocol Engineering: Lead the engineering of core protocol components, including lending markets, yield aggregators, and automated market makers (AMMs).
- Security Assurance: Implement rigorous security best practices, conduct internal and third-party audits, and coordinate with security firms to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize smart contract execution times and gas costs to enhance user experience and reduce transaction fees.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and establish engineering best practices and documentation standards.
- Integration: Integrate third-party services (oracle providers, wallet connections) into our protocol architecture.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years specifically focused on blockchain development and smart contract engineering.
- Languages: Proficiency in Solidity, Rust, or Go; experience with TypeScript/JavaScript is highly desirable.
- Blockchain Knowledge: Deep understanding of Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), consensus mechanisms, and cryptographic principles.
- Tools: Strong familiarity with development tools such as Hardhat, Truffle, Foundry, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
