Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research studies, including user interviews, usability testing, and surveys.
- Analyze complex user data to identify pain points, opportunities, and trends that directly inform product roadmaps.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure research findings are effectively translated into design solutions.
- Create compelling research artifacts, including personas, user journeys, journey maps, and detailed executive reports.
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the standardization of our internal research methodologies.
- Present research findings and insights to stakeholders with clarity and persuasion.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in UX research, with a preference for experience in the government or technology sector within Washington D.C.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a history of successful user research projects and measurable impact on business goals.
- Proficiency in research tools such as UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, and qualitative analysis software (e.g., Dovetail, NVivo).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects independently in a remote work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Information Science, or a related field.
