Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends, technological disruptions, and socio-economic shifts to forecast market evolution through 2026
- Develop comprehensive scenario-planning frameworks for enterprise innovation and risk mitigation
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future insights into product roadmaps and business opportunities
- Author high-impact thought leadership content including white papers, keynote presentations, and trend reports
- Build and maintain a network of futurists, technologists, and industry influencers across Silicon Valley and global innovation hubs
- Quantify future market potential through data modeling and competitive landscape analysis
- Advise executive leadership on emerging technologies' strategic implications and adoption pathways
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in futurist consulting, R&D strategy, or technology innovation roles
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial opportunities (portfolio required)
- Expertise in trend analysis methodologies including horizon scanning, Delphi techniques, and systems thinking
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology, etc.) and societal impacts
- Exceptional storytelling abilities to communicate complex future scenarios to diverse stakeholders
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., from Association of Professional Futurists) strongly preferred
- Published author in futurist journals or industry publications
