Responsibilities
- Develop 2026+ technology foresight frameworks through trend analysis, scenario modeling, and expert consultations
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align engineering, product, and executive teams on future innovation priorities
- Produce strategic white papers and market position papers for emerging domains (quantum AI, neurotech, climate AI)
- Establish KPIs and success metrics for long-term R&D initiatives with 5-7 year horizons
- Represent company at global futurist forums (World Economic Forum, Singularity University)
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon scanning methodologies and critical thinking frameworks
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting with tech sector focus
- Proven expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI ethics
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry white papers
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., AC/FS, APF) preferred
- Experience with horizon scanning tools (Horizon Scanning System, Delphi Method)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful long-term technology roadmaps
