Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology foresight framework for 2026-2030
- Lead scenario planning workshops to identify disruptive market shifts
- Partner with engineering to prototype future-facing solutions (AR/VR, biotech, etc.)
- Analyze emerging tech patents and academic research for competitive advantage
- Present strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors quarterly
- Manage $2M innovation lab budget with ROI-driven allocation
- Build external partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and NASA
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy consulting, R&D, or corporate innovation leadership
- Proven track record translating futuristic concepts into commercial products
- Expertise in emerging technologies: generative AI, quantum computing, Web3
- MBA or advanced degree in Technology Management, Futures Studies, or relevant field
- Published thought leader (TechCrunch, Harvard Business Review, etc.)
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies: Delphi, Horizon Scanning, STEEP analysis
- Experience securing government grants (DARPA, NSF) or venture capital
