Responsibilities
- Develop 2026+ innovation roadmaps using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate emerging technologies (quantum computing, bio-AI, Web4.0)
- Present strategic futures to executive stakeholders and boards with data-driven recommendations
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
- Author thought leadership content and represent the company at global innovation forums
- Secure $5M+ annual innovation budget through compelling ROI projections
- Establish KPIs for innovation maturity and track adoption of future-ready solutions
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching products/services with 3+ year market impact
- Expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, synthetic biology, decentralized AI
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or MBA with innovation focus
- Experience with futures methodologies: Delphi, STEEP analysis, or causal layered analysis
- Exceptional storytelling skills for communicating complex futures to diverse audiences
- Published author in innovation or futurism journals (e.g., Journal of Futures Studies)
- Portfolio of 3+ successfully commercialized future-facing initiatives
