Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance microservices using modern languages (e.g., Python, Java, or Go).
- Collaborate closely with product managers and frontend engineers to define and implement high-quality features.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security in cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
- Architect robust data pipelines and ensure data integrity across the system.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues in production environments and implement effective solutions.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least two major programming languages (Python, Java, C#, or Go).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including query optimization.
- Proven track record of designing scalable API architectures (RESTful, GraphQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced contract environment.
- Must be willing to work onsite in San Diego, CA.
