Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum annealing hardware with sub-50mK temperature stability
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for 100+ qubit systems
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing pipelines using AWS Braket
- Create fault-tolerant quantum communication networks using photonic entanglement
- Optimize quantum algorithms for material science and cryptography applications
- Lead quantum security audits for financial and defense sector clients
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum physics principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum computing hardware (D-Wave, IBM Q, or Rigetti)
- Expertise in cryogenic engineering and superconducting circuits
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum systems
- Security clearance for DoD quantum projects preferred
- Experience with FPGA-based quantum control systems
