Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Design and execute quantum circuit simulations using IBM Quantum Experience and Rigetti Forest
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical AI systems
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents for 2026 quantum computing milestones
- Mentor junior researchers and lead experimental quantum computing projects
- Stay current with emerging quantum error correction techniques and topological qubit developments
- Present findings at international quantum computing conferences (e.g., QIP, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Q#, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE, QAOA)
- Proficiency in Python, linear algebra, and quantum circuit design
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex quantum system optimization
- Excellent written and verbal communication for technical documentation
