What you'll achieve:
- Lead breakthrough research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to commercialize quantum applications
- Shape the roadmap for quantum-AI hybrid computing paradigms
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and hold 3+ patents
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop novel quantum hardware architectures using superconducting qubits
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NASA research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and APS March Meetings
- Contribute to open-source quantum computing frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026 graduates encouraged)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum simulators (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface/colour codes)
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and low-level hardware interfacing
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research funding
