Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for NISQ-era processors
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures and error correction protocols
- Lead experimental quantum simulations using superconducting and photonic platforms
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and top quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $1M+ in government and industry research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and Qiskit/Cirq programming frameworks
- Published record in quantum error correction or algorithm development
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum systems optimization
