Role Overview:
As a Contract Part-Time Senior Data Analyst, you will bridge the gap between raw data and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with our project managers and technical leads to ensure data integrity, generate insightful reports, and drive business growth. The role offers the flexibility of remote work with the option for occasional in-office collaboration in Houston.
Responsibilities
- Data Extraction & Transformation: Gather and manipulate large datasets from various sources using SQL and Python to prepare for analysis.
- Dashboard Creation: Design and develop interactive visualizations and dashboards using Tableau or Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Statistical Analysis: Perform advanced statistical modeling and trend analysis to identify patterns and provide predictive insights.
- Report Generation: Create comprehensive, executive-level reports and presentations summarizing findings for stakeholders.
- Data Quality Assurance: Audit data for errors and inconsistencies, implementing protocols to ensure high data accuracy.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the energy or logistics sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (advanced querying), Python (Pandas, NumPy), and visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Flexibility: Ability to work part-time hours (approx. 20-25 hours per week) and adapt to changing project deadlines.
- Tools: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and ETL processes is a plus.
