Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental quantum hardware validation and error mitigation protocols
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-enhanced machine learning models
- Publish research findings in Nature/Science and present at international conferences
- Secure research grants and patents for proprietary quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with IBM Q/Google Quantum Experience
- Published work in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Strong track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical implementations
