Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Lead research initiatives in quantum cryptography and post-quantum security frameworks
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our quantum education initiatives
- Secure external funding through NSF, DoE, and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction, fault-tolerant architectures, and quantum supremacy validation
- Strong publication record in quantum information science or quantum hardware
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel processing environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Security clearance eligibility or willingness to obtain DoD clearance
