Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental quantum hardware prototyping and error correction initiatives
- Publish 2-3 high-impact research papers annually in IEEE/ACM journals
- Mentor cross-functional teams of engineers and physicists
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from NSF/DARPA
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum systems targeting 1000+ qubit operations
- Partner with Fortune 500 clients to implement quantum-advantage solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2022-2026 graduates encouraged)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction codes
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or superconducting qubits
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Ability to secure competitive research funding
- Collaborative mindset with 3+ years of lab/team leadership experience
