Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to identify and resolve quantum error correction challenges
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum cryptography and secure communications
- Publish high-impact papers in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop proprietary quantum software frameworks for commercial deployment
- Mentor junior researchers and drive technical strategy for 2026 product roadmap
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Published record in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum Experience, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and secure research funding
- Experience with quantum machine learning and variational algorithms
