Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Collaborate with hardware teams to overcome qubit coherence challenges
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI, cybersecurity, and materials science divisions
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DoD
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum error correction techniques
- Translate theoretical models into practical quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026 graduates)
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Strong track record of securing research funding
- Experience with IBM Quantum Experience and Google Quantum AI
