Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols and quantum hardware integration frameworks
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant security systems
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
- Translate theoretical models into scalable quantum circuit implementations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with 3+ years of research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfacing
- Demonstrated experience securing government or corporate research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
