Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum machine learning models
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DoD grants
- mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in at least one quantum hardware platform (superconducting, trapped ion, or photonic)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Track record of securing government or industry research grants
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments
