Responsibilities
- Develop quantum algorithms for practical industry applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals
- Optimize quantum error correction protocols for commercial viability
- Secure $2M+ in research grants through NSF and DoD partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Translate theoretical models into scalable quantum hardware interfaces
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum circuit design experience
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation
- Proficiency in Python and high-performance computing
- Clearance for DoD research projects (or ability to obtain)
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
