Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop proprietary quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization
- Collaborate with hardware teams to design quantum processor architectures
- Secure $10M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor a team of 8+ quantum researchers and PhD candidates
- Publish 3+ papers annually in Nature Physics or Science
- Establish industry partnerships with quantum hardware manufacturers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research experience
- Published work on quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Demonstrated success securing government research funding
- Strong background in superconducting qubit systems
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary technical teams
- Patents in quantum technology (3+ preferred)
