Responsibilities
- Design and develop quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum hardware-software integration
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum solutions for 2026 use cases
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptography protocols for next-gen security infrastructure
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research funding
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish quantum computing curriculum standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier-1 institution
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of securing research grants >$2M
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and 2026 quantum roadmap
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Active Qiskit/Cirq contributor or equivalent open-source contributions
