Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for enterprise applications
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms targeting optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Partner with hardware engineers to optimize qubit coherence and gate fidelity metrics
- Create strategic roadmaps for quantum adoption in finance, logistics, and AI sectors
- Secure $50M+ in R&D funding through NSF and industry partnerships
- Author white papers on quantum supremacy milestones for 2026 deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in quantum algorithm development or quantum hardware design
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and topological qubit manipulation
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals or arXiv quantum sections
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Experience securing government/DoD quantum research grants
- Demonstrated ability to translate quantum theory into scalable commercial solutions
- Clearance for handling classified quantum security protocols preferred
