Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum circuits for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Lead integration of quantum-classical hybrid computing workflows
- Research novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and machine learning
- Mentor cross-functional teams on quantum principles and applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS + 5 years experience acceptable)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Track record of open-source contributions to quantum frameworks
- Familiarity with NISQ-era limitations and mitigation strategies
- Security clearance eligibility (government projects)
