Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum-AI research roadmaps targeting 2026 commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-optimized neural networks
- Collaborate with industry partners to prototype quantum solutions for finance, logistics, and healthcare
- Publish peer-reviewed research and secure patents in quantum machine learning
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DoD, and private foundations
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish quantum-AI curriculum partnerships
- Present findings at premier conferences like Q2B and NeurIPS
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or AI with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum/AI journals
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (QAOA, VQE) and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM Q, Rigetti, IonQ) and cloud platforms
- Proven track record of securing research funding ($2M+)
- Strong background in cryptography or optimization theory
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and executive audiences
