Job Description
Join Capitol Insights Group as a Part-Time UX Researcher to drive user-centered design for federal clients. This flexible contract role offers remote work with 2-3 weekly on-site collaboration days in Washington DC. You'll conduct user interviews, usability tests, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for high-impact government digital services.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute user research studies (interviews, surveys, usability testing)
- Analyze qualitative/quantitative data to identify pain points
- Create user personas, journey maps, and research reports
- Collaborate with design teams to prioritize research findings
- Present insights to stakeholders via clear documentation
- Conduct competitive analysis of federal digital platforms
Qualifications
- 3+ years UX research experience with federal/government projects
- Portfolio demonstrating user research deliverables
- Proficiency in tools like Figma, Optimal Workshop, or Miro
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Security clearance eligibility (or willingness to obtain)
