Responsibilities
- Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and surveys for government digital platforms
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify pain points and opportunities
- Develop personas, journey maps, and research artifacts for stakeholder presentations
- Partner with product teams to integrate research findings into design iterations
- Present research findings to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Maintain compliance with federal accessibility standards (Section 508)
- Manage research timelines and deliverables within contract scope
Qualifications
- 3+ years of UX research experience with government or public sector projects
- Proficiency in research tools (UserTesting, Hotjar, Optimal Workshop, Figma)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design methodologies
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with federal accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one
