Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Analyze current manufacturing workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Production Support: Provide technical support during production runs, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring minimal downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols (OSHA compliance) to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Cost Reduction: Develop and manage capital expenditure projects aimed at reducing operational costs and improving product quality.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of engineering drawings, process flows, and change orders.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production managers, quality assurance, and supply chain partners.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar production environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software; knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Methodologies: Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred), and Kaizen principles.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and process issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
