Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive 5-year technology strategy aligned with 2026 market projections
- Identify, analyze, and evaluate emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) for strategic integration
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-facing solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
- Author thought leadership content on technological disruption and future trends
- Oversee R&D investments in breakthrough technologies with 3-7 year horizons
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or futurism roles at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of successfully launching technology initiatives with 3+ year lead times
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., generative AI, neurotech, climate tech)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism (or equivalent experience)
- Exceptional analytical and systems thinking abilities
- Published thought leadership in tech journals or major industry platforms
- Experience presenting complex concepts to non-technical C-suite executives
- Proficiency in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., scenario planning, horizon scanning)
