Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology foresight frameworks for emerging sectors
- Lead scenario planning workshops for disruptive technologies (quantum, AGI, neural interfaces)
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-tech roadmaps into development cycles
- Establish strategic alliances with academic research labs and innovation hubs
- Produce executive briefings on technological convergence opportunities and risks
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight intelligence network
- Represent company at global tech symposums and policy forums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or futurist consulting
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized innovations
- PhD or equivalent in technology, foresight, or relevant engineering field
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario modeling capabilities
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Experience with technology impact assessment methodologies
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
