Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the 2026+ strategic innovation roadmap through horizon scanning and trend analysis
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating future scenarios into actionable product/service roadmaps
- Establish quantitative and qualitative frameworks for emerging technology assessment (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Design and execute foresight workshops with C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Create competitive advantage through patentable innovation pipelines and IP strategy
- Present future scenarios to investors and board members to secure strategic funding
- Maintain relationships with futurist networks and academic institutions to track paradigm shifts
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, product development, or futures research
- Proven track record of executing multi-year strategic plans with measurable ROI
- Expertise in emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology) and their societal impacts
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field
- Published thought leadership in futurism or strategic innovation (whitepapers, journals)
- Experience leading teams of 15+ professionals across R&D, design, and engineering
- Exceptional presentation skills for executive and investor audiences
- Portfolio of successfully commercialized innovation initiatives
