Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and company vision
- Identify and validate disruptive technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, neuro interfaces) for commercial adoption
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with $50M+ innovation budgets
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis in emerging tech verticals
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor innovation teams on future-proof technology integration
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum systems, AI/ML, biotech, or decentralized networks
- PhD or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong background in technology forecasting and scenario planning
- Experience managing global innovation ecosystems and partnerships
- Exceptional communication skills for complex technical storytelling
- Published thought leadership in technology strategy (IEEE, Nature, etc.)
