Responsibilities
- Research and analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) with 3-5 year market impact
- Develop technology roadmaps aligning with business objectives and societal trends
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, design, and product teams
- Partner with VC firms and academic institutions to scout breakthrough innovations
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Build and mentor a team of futurists and technology scouts
- Author thought leadership publications on technology disruption
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation leadership
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record of launching tech products with 5+ year market cycles
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, quantum, AR/VR, etc.)
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystem
- Exceptional communication skills for complex technical storytelling
- Portfolio published in tech journals or major industry publications
