Strategic Insight Partners is looking for a highly skilled and adaptable Technical Writer to join our growing team on a part-time contract basis. Based in Washington, DC, this role offers the flexibility of remote work while contributing to high-impact government and enterprise documentation projects.
We are seeking a professional who can translate complex technical jargon into clear, concise, and engaging documentation. You will work closely with subject matter experts and engineers to ensure our products and services are accessible to all users.

Responsibilities
- Research, write, and edit high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, API guides, and troubleshooting manuals.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to gather requirements and understand product functionality.
- Maintain existing documentation libraries and ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Conduct user testing to identify documentation gaps and improve user experience.
- Adhere to style guides and maintain a consistent tone across all materials.
- Assist in the creation of diagrams, flowcharts, and visual aids to enhance understanding.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in technical writing, preferably in the SaaS, government, or IT sector.
- Strong command of the English language with exceptional grammar and editing skills.
- Proficiency in technical writing tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or Markdown.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence).
- Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Must be located within or willing to work within the Washington, DC metro area.
