Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection
- Conduct forensic analysis on security incidents and breaches
- Develop and implement security protocols for government systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on vulnerability assessments
- Generate detailed incident reports and executive summaries
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation strategies
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incidents
Qualifications
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with federal government contracts
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and FISMA compliance
- Experience with network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Ability to obtain and maintain government clearance
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
