Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI ethics governance frameworks aligned with IEEE, EU AI Act, and NIST standards
- Conduct bias audits and risk assessments for machine learning models across product lines
- Design transparent explainability protocols for high-stakes AI systems in healthcare and finance
- Partner with engineering teams to embed ethical safeguards into the development lifecycle
- Advocate for responsible AI adoption through executive briefings and industry forums
- Monitor emerging regulations and adapt compliance strategies proactively
- Lead cross-functional working groups on ethical AI implementation challenges
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Law, or related field with 5+ years in AI governance
- Proven expertise in bias detection techniques for ML models and datasets
- Deep understanding of global AI regulations (EU AI Act, GDPR, state-level AI bills)
- Experience developing explainable AI (XAI) methodologies for complex systems
- Strong background in risk assessment frameworks for autonomous technologies
- Exceptional communication skills for translating technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Certification in AI ethics (e.g., IEEE Ethically Aligned Design, Google AI Ethics Certificate)
- Published work on algorithmic fairness or AI policy development preferred
