You'll conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI), develop scenario-based strategic plans, and establish KPIs for technological adoption readiness. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity and possesses an uncanny ability to translate complex technological possibilities into actionable business strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and technology forecasting for 2026-2030 landscape
- Develop strategic technology adoption roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Establish cross-functional innovation task forces for emerging tech integration
- Conduct competitive analysis and disruptor scenario planning
- Present technology strategy to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ innovation portfolio with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Author thought leadership publications on future technology trends
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record in emerging technology commercialization
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI, or quantum cryptography
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Foresight
- Experience with scenario planning and technology impact assessment frameworks
- Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism (IEEE, Nature, etc.)
