Our Austin hub offers unparalleled resources including a quantum lab, generative AI sandbox, and biometric testing facilities. This position reports directly to our Chief Innovation Officer and includes equity in our pre-IPO growth stage company.
Responsibilities
- Develop 2026 technology roadmaps for quantum computing, AI, and sustainable energy integration
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen interfaces and autonomous systems
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with 3-5 year market impact
- Design ethical frameworks for advanced AI and biometric security implementations
- Present strategic technology forecasts to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget for future technology incubation
- Partner with academic institutions for cutting-edge research initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with demonstrated 5+ year forecasting success
- Expertise in quantum computing, generative AI, or climate tech domains
- Published research in IEEE or Nature on emerging technology trends
- Experience scaling tech teams from 10 to 100+ professionals
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field required
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools and technology maturity models
- Track record of launching products with 10-year lifecycle impact
