Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech, socio-political shifts, and environmental trends to forecast 2026+ market landscapes
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for C-suite stakeholders to navigate uncertainty
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into R&D priorities and product roadmaps
- Author whitepapers and trend reports published in industry journals and executive briefings
- Partner with innovation teams to prototype future-facing solutions and validate market readiness
- Monitor global disruptors (AI, biotech, climate tech) and recommend strategic pivots
- Mentor junior futurists and build a foresight knowledge repository
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 5+ years in strategy consulting, innovation, or trend analysis with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-back strategic frameworks
- Expertise in systems thinking, scenario modeling, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI trajectories)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive presentation experience
- Published author or thought leader in foresight publications (e.g., Futures Research Quarterly)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ high-impact future strategy implementations
